Oââ¬â¢Brien alternation between narrating a story and commenting on its exceptive effects explicitly expresses his role as a storyteller in this chapter. In doing this, he is also able to point out the influence it had on his view of human disposition and the true nature of war. He explains the traits of a true war story while giving examples of his own. His strategy of retelling a war story with multiple different approaches emphasizes the power of his storyteller position. He claims that ââ¬ËA true war story is never to depict his recount of the incident in a specific way, thus characterizing one of his many experiences . Just like most soldiers after war find a way to cope with their sufferings, O Brine relays his own experiences by stating that ââ¬Å"In any war story, but especially a true one, itââ¬â¢s difficult to separate what happened from what seemed to happenâ⬠(63). This chapter is unique in the sense that it takes the minutiae of a certain war memory, twists it to invoke certain emotions, and stimulates a reaction in the reader. Throughout the chapter he illustrates how incredibly the meaning and the effect of a story can change with the smallest adjustment to details . The different ways that Oââ¬â¢Brien tells a story help us realize the power of his practice. Oââ¬â¢Brien analyses of true war stories, followed by his real life account strike the reader in the heart and change their view of the war as a whole. Brineââ¬â¢s storytelling is a powerful medium through which he expresses his thoughts on the war. Aside from relaying the incidents during the war, Oââ¬â¢Brien also aims to point out his observations Of human nature relating to war. Whether we realize it or not, war has a large influence in all of our lives ââ¬â Oââ¬â¢Brien aims to bring out hose realizations through his storytelling. During this chapter Oââ¬â¢Brien repeatedly shares the many characteristics of a true war story. He describes many different traits such as: a true war story ââ¬Å"never seems to or ââ¬Å"a true war story cannot be believed ââ¬Å"(64). Then Oââ¬â¢Brien gives an example of how that certain trait rings true in a story of his own. The effect produced is eye opening and causes the reader to adapt the same mindset that Oââ¬â¢Brien takes towards his revelations. With his continued explanations of why war stories are so complex, Oââ¬â¢Brien moves into the realm of legacies. His vivid description of Curt Lemonââ¬â¢s Death is a poignant reminder of the gruesome and tragic, yet sudden end to a great manââ¬â¢s life. Even though Lemon perished in the snap of a finger, Oââ¬â¢Brien urges us to realize that his creative style of storytelling keeps Curt Lemon alive. Just like Ted Lavender and Kiowa, Curt Lemon left behind a legacy that lived among the memories of the soldiers. This is how Oââ¬â¢Brien is able to keep him alive along with all of the others who he does not want to let go of. This novel can be viewed as simply a novel that describes a war experience room the point of a soldier; however, the way itââ¬â¢s portrayed makes it much more. Not only does Oââ¬â¢Brien express what it was like to be in the Vietnam war, but also he gives us a deep analysis of our race in relation to common struggles among us. Often when a soldier has a hard time coping with their return, it is because he or she does not feel like they belong. Itââ¬â¢s as if no one believes what they say is true because of how terrible it sounds. Oââ¬â¢Brien explains that if ââ¬Å"somebody tells a story, letââ¬â¢s say, and afterward you ask, ââ¬ËIs is true? ââ¬Ë [then] if the answer matters, youââ¬â¢ve got your There are any people who are ignorant to the lengths that soldiers go to for protecting this country, and when those people fail to appreciate those actions, it is heartbreaking. When Oââ¬â¢Brien says that ââ¬Å"if the answer matters, youââ¬â¢ve got your answer he is emphasizing the point that all war stories can be true even if they never actually happened. The experience Of war as a whole is so unbelievable that any story is true in some sense if it helps the reader understand what the narrator went through. His depiction of war is gruesome to say the least, but it explains to us how war impacts a man. He also expresses the importance off legacy like those of Curt lemonââ¬â¢s, Kioskââ¬â¢s, and Ted Lavenderââ¬â¢s. Oââ¬â¢Brien has the potential to be scarred for life from these death incidents; however, he uses the power of his stories as a coping mechanism, and in turn is able to keep the souls of his comrades alive. He does this with Timmy preserve his innocence, and in the same way, he does this to his friends to aid the hurt the war has caused him. All in all, Oââ¬â¢Brien strategy of storytelling achieves the multiple goals intended: to portray his tragic war experiences, to explain the human notation in relation to the war, and to portray the strength of a legacy preserved in a Story. Essential Skills for Leadership Effectiveness â⬠MyAssignmenthelp
Question: Discuss about the Essential Skills for Leadership Effectiveness. Answer: Introduction The main objective of this task is to describe the literature in detail on the diversity management and culture in the workforce in order to evaluate and know the breadth and complexity of diversity issues in the workplace. The paper also explains that how favorable culture helps in improving and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the workers as well as organization. To accomplish the long term mission and vision, diversity management, culture and training and development coaching provide support to the workers at the workplace. The concept of workforce diversity and culture has been discussed in last five decades. The diversity management and favorable culture are liable to resolve and handle the personal issues of the workers. A better understanding of this concept will allow the workers in the firm to resolve conflicts and issues within the organization. Furthermore, the paper provides outlines about the performance management and training and development in the organization. In todays modern world, organizations are performing functions and activities in an effective and dynamic way. The performance management is an ongoing process which is used by HRM to improve and enhance individuals and team performance and productivity. By measuring performance of the employees, the organization has been able to provide rewards, incentives and bonus to the potential and skilled employees. It has been observed that workers are the most significant assets of the company. For attaining strategic goals and objectives, improving the performance of the workers is an effective requirement of HRM. For this purpose, training and development sessions are being held by HRM to maximize the potential, experience and skills of the workers. Along with this, performance measurement is essential for the managers to attain best possible results and outcomes in t he marketplace. On the other hand, the paper outlines that how training and development help in improving and developing the effectiveness of the individuals as well as teams. Moreover, training and development is essential to gain competitive benefits and utilize the skills and capabilities effectively (Harzing Pinningtion, 2015). It also helps to make a good financial position in the global market. The high level of motivation can be achieved by providing learning and development coaching to the workers. Further, the paper explains that how the organization can attain success and growth by conducting training and development sessions, seminars within the organization. Further detail of the task has been stated below. Diversity management and culture Diversity may be defined by Sharma (2016) where he said that diversity is an understanding, knowing, accepting and acknowledging differences among the employees in term of ethnicity, gender, disabilities, class and age. Diversity workforce consists of individuals belonging to dynamic culture who have different traits, expectations and desires (Brownkutskovargo, 2018). The employees who come from different backgrounds and countries have different requirements and feel the support to be respected in the workplace. The management needs to know and understand the requirements and needs of these diverse groups of people so as to eliminate employees issues, tensions and conflicts. Sharma (2016) said that Effective diversity management requires a culture which is broad of a work environment that cultivates participation, teamwork, cohesiveness. Olsen Martins (2012) defines that diversity management is the valorization and reorganization of employees differences and issues. Diversity entail s respect and acceptance, as it means understanding and measuring that each person is dynamic and identifying people individual differences (Lin Wu, L. Y. (2014). Furthermore, managing diversity is a planning and initiating organizational systems and practices to handle employees so that potential and effective benefits of diversity can be taken while it reduces negative impact of diversity (Chang, 2013). Globalization is increasing in the world so the companies require more interaction among the employees who have different backgrounds (Jonsen, Maznevski Schneider, 2011). HRM uses several theories to manage diversity management in the organization that has been stated below. Resource based theory: The main objective of this theory is to analyze that how the implementation of diversity affects resources of the company. The four categories of resources encompass financial capital, human capital, physical capital and corporate capital resources. These resources assist and direct the operation of the firm. These resources also help to improve the performance of the employees and firm as well. Olsen Martins (2012) found that diversity management practices help to interact with an innovation and unique strategy positively (Wan, Hoskisson, Short Yiu, 2011). Institutional theory: This theory helps to understand and evaluate the organization structure. In order to understand and analyze the organization structure as it also should be understood the behavior of the workers and organization factors such as laws, rules, legislation, professional and social norms (Brownkutskovargo, 2018). Diversity management improves and enhances the performance and productivity of the employees. As a result, profitability and outcomes of the organization will also be increased. On the other hand, it is noted that culture is the social behavior, rules and norms that are found in human societies. Culture is considered as a heart of every organization. Shahzad, Luqman, Khan and Shabbir (2012) define that organizational culture is a set of shared values, beliefs, norms and values which are often taken for granted, that assist the workers towards rewarding and acceptable behavior. Lovvorn Chen (2011) defines that culture is the collective thinking of minds which helps to create a difference between the members of one group from another. Culture plays a significant role in each and every organization to maintain favorable working environment in the organization. The effective and dynamic culture helps to create the brand image of the company in the marketplace (Ragir Brooks, 2012). A healthy and favorable culture encourages and motivates the workers to stay loyal and faithful towards the management. Unique culture provides a sense of direction and expectations to the employees in order to perform tasks and duties effectively. Hofstede culture dimension model is used by the nations to understand and analyze the different culture of the countries. The effective and unique communication tools can be used to eliminate the culture issues and conflicts (Khana Afzalb, 2011). International performance management, training and development De Waal (2013) defines that performance management is a very vital process of international human resource management which helps to motivate and inspire the employees. Mone London (2018) said that performance management is a means of getting better outcomes and results from the organization, individuals and teams within an agreed planned objectives, standards and goals. Performance management is an essential tool to develop and build competence and commitment of the individuals towards achievement of desired goals and objectives (Francis and Bochie- Mensah, 2012). HR department plays a strategic role in performance management. Human resource management makes effective strategies and policies to evaluate and analyze the performance of the employees. Teeratansirikool, Siengthai, Badir Charoenngam (2013) stated that performance management is a constant process of evaluating, identifying, and rising the productivity and efficiency of the employee and aligning productivity and outcomes with tactical goals of the company. There are five elements of performance management system which include the following: Goal setting theory: This theory is propounded by Edwin Locke in 1968. The theory believes that the individual targets and objectives recognized by an employee play a vital role in encouraging and inspiring him for excellent and greater performance. This is possible because the employee keep following their goals and targets. If these objectives and targets are not attained, either they recover their efficiency or modify the goals and objectives to make them more pragmatic. In this way, performance management leads in attainment of the long term goals and objectives (Lunenburg, 2011)). Expectancy theory: This theory was developed in 1964 by Victor Vroom. This theory suggests that workers adjust their actions and behavior in the firm on the basis of predictable satisfaction. The employees modify their activities and actions in such way which is most likely to lead them to achieve these goals and objectives. This theory believed that performance of the employee is influenced by the expectations concerning future events (Van Ryzin, 2013). Training and development One of the important functions of human resource management is training and development which monitors on the organizational operation and activity aimed at improving and bettering the productivity of individuals as well groups in the firm. It is recognized by several names such as learning and development and human capital development. Sabzian Gilakjani (2013) stated that training and development is a subsystem of a firm which encourages and improves the performance of the groups and individuals as well. Phillips (2012) defines that training is an educational process which includes the sharpening of skills, talents, concepts and knowledge in order to boost the performance and productivity of the employees. Change is one of the significant factors that contribute to the need of training and development. Training and development coaching is provided to the employees for managing the management changes in the organization. There are two methods of training and development through which managers and leaders can improve their knowledge and skills such as on-the-job training methods and off-the-job training methods. On the job training methods: It is an ordinary method of training and development in which training is provided by the trainee to the employees on a specific job. Trainee improves their potential, knowledge and skills which are essential to perform the tasks and duties successfully. On the job methods include job rotation, coaching, job instructions, internship training. On the job training methods increase and enhance immediate productivity and outcomes of the firm as it also helps to optimize the resources of the firm (Topno, 2012). These training methods help to manage the latest trends that are going on in the business world as it also important to eliminate the challenges and issues of the market. Also, it helps to the workers to understand new tasks and projects more effectively and efficiently (Elnaga Imran, 2013). Off-the-job methods: Off-the-job techniques have their own limitations and to develop the performance and productivity of the workers, off-the-job training can also be provided. The techniques and tools which are initiated for the development and improvement of the workers away from the field of the job are called as off-the-job training methods. Training and development plays enormous role in each and every organization. A training program allows employees to improve their skills and knowledge. In this way, training and development helps to address the weakness of individuals (Brown Harvey, 2011). A person who gets training and development coaching is able to perform tasks and duties effectively. Training and development makes aware the employees to understand and know the safety practices and procedures for their basic tasks and duties (Khan, Khan Khan, 2011). Learning and development may also build and develop confidence, loyalty and trust among the workers. Employee satisfaction is one of the significant factors which can be provided by effective learning and development coaching. An employee who feel appreciated and challenged in the firm, he may feel more satisfaction towards their tasks and duties through learning and development. In this way, the company is able to meet its desired goals and objectives in the compet itive market (Tooksoon, 2011). Conclusion On the above mentioned analysis, it has been evaluated that diversity management, favorable culture, performance measurement and training and development are important and vital functions of human resource management. In todays modern world, HRM is becoming an integral part of each and every company. No company can survive its business activities and operations effectively without sustainable HRM. Furthermore, it is noted that success and growth of the firm and employee as well depends on the effective and unique HRM. Various policies, strategies and plans are initiated by human resource management for attaining the better results and outcomes. In addition, they protect the rights of the employees by measuring their performance and providing favorable working environment. On the other hand, HRM conducts training and development sessions to get better outputs and improve effectiveness of the workers. To provide learning and development coaching, various methods are used by HR team wit hin the organization. Learning and development sessions help in reducing and eliminating the cross cultural management issues in the firm. Moreover, it builds and develops positive culture in the workplace. In addition, training and development is considered an important tool that can bring an individual into a position where they can perform their duties and tasks correctly and effectively. Additionally, diversity management plays an empirical role in the organization to introduce innovation in the workplace. The diverse workforce helps to attract and retain the customers in the marketplace as it also helps to reduce the risks and challenges of the global market. By using diversity management, people are easily able to understand and know the culture and languages of different countries. Therefore, the company can gain several benefits with the help of diverse people in the workplace. Now it is recommended that the firm should make unique and effective strategies, policies and plans in the organization to manage culture and diversity issues. Along with this, unique and effective standards and norms must be set by HRM to conduct business operation successfully and correctly. It shall be observed that the organization should set objectives and goals to gain the advantages of diverse workforce at the workplace. In addition, HRM should ensure that written guidelines are relevant and unambiguous and easy to understand each person. Along with this, feedback must be collected by managers to improve and enhance the performance of the workers. Effective and unique communication shall be made by the HRM to communicate and share knowledge, skills and opinion among the workers. Equal rights should be provided to each and every employee in the organization to make happy them at the workplace. There should not be any discrimination in the organization. Additionally, performance management system must be developed and used by human resource management to analyses and identify the skills, talents and potential of the workers. In this way, HRM can analyze the productivity of an individual as it also help in motivating the workforce. Apart from this, unique and attractive recruitment and selection strategies should adopt by the company to attract and retain the employees. Further, an employer should be able to talk and approach with their employees to encourage and motivate them. Trust is a critical tool to build and develop reciprocal relationship with employees at the workplace. Moreover, a leader or manager should provide support to their workers when they are needed. A good manager is responsible to get to know each employees needs, requirements, desires and wants. Additionally, unique training and development tools and techniques shall be used by human resource management to develop skills, experience and knowledge of the workers. Effective rewards and i ncentives strategies shall be adopted by the firm to inspire workers for doing work effectively. References Brownkutskovargo.,(2018). The British Music Invasion free essay sample
The whole country was in a deep depressive doldrums after the assassination, and for good reason. The British invasion was needed by Americans to snap out of this funk, and this was just the thing to do it. (One thing that Americans used to avoid the depressing times was to use illegal drugs, but that will be elaborated on later This is what it was all about; sure it was about the music, but it brought more, it brought a way of life across the ocean. A lot of the invasion stayed in that generation, many bands and songs that were big then are all but totally forgotten about now.Bands such as the Searchers, the Swinging Blue Jeans, and Gerry and the Pacemakers all had one or two great hits which stayed in that time. This however, was part of the beauty of it all. Some of the music stayed with us thirty years later, and thats great, it gives us a good sampling of the time. We will write a custom essay sample on The British Music Invasion or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page On the other hand, you have the music that was meant for the era, and not for future generations. That is part of the uniqueness of it all, and Lester Bangs says it best when he tells how it doesnt matter that the music sin t listened to anymore, thats not what it was for.It was for the time, it was a timepiece. On the other hand, we have the bands that were not simply timepieces and were able to stick around three decades later. These bands are the Who, he Kinks, the Rolling Stones and the Beetles. This is another aspect of why the invasion was so influential. Where would we be in rock and roll with out the Beetles, and on a slightly lesser extent the Stones. These bands transformed rock into what we know it today. Without them, the way might not have been paved for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and countless others. Both sides of the spectrum were extremely important for the invasion to have the long lasting effects it continues to have. Culture itself was radically changed in both waves of the invasion, the first being roughly 1963-67, and the second being 1968-1974. In the early wave, the Beetles created a frenzy that was never seen before in America. In early August 1 964, Battlement had become a full blown epidemic. Teenage girls jammed the theaters, singing along with the songs, shrieking and crying as each of the lovable mop tops did his star turn (Ward, 279).Teenage girls were acting way out of line according to previous etiquette established in earlier decades. This started a gradual trend Of major change from this point on. We could even say that the Beetles were the most influential entity on American behavior in the last forty years. In the second wave, a sort of drug ultra emerged; headed by such bands as The Jim Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd and others. While the Beetles and the Stones (more so in the early years) had a clean-cut look, these bands were openly on acid, and it was well known that it was considered one of their main sources of creativity. Held at Alexandra Placidness the cavernous structure, there were bands (often two at once, playing from full volume from opposite ends of the hall), an unending display of film and lighthouse dawn, as the walls of Ally Apply began to tu rn pink, Pink Floyd finally came undergone had been waiting for them and everybody was on acid (Ward, 355). This quote shows the elaborate performances that these acid bands put on, and how the audience was so high that the spectacle before them just added to the experience. This particular concert was held in Europe, but the same concept was brought over to America with these bands. One theory that I have constructed for this sudden use of drugs is the Vietnam War. Just like when the country went into a funk when Kennedy was assassinated, the Vietnam War turned the country upside down. The country needed another pickup, but this time they needed to get away from it all; it was too much to deal with. The use of mind-altering drugs was just the thing to do it; they would put people in happier places and relax them to the point of not worrying about the problems around them.Even the Beetles took a radical turn towards the late asss, with music laced with drug inferences; shown in songs such as Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and Strawberry Fields Forever. Newspaper taxis appear on the shore, waiting to take you away. Climb in the back with you head in the clouds, and youre gone. This quote is directly from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and it is obviously drug oriented, talking about climbing in the clouds and leaving. The newspaper taxis can be seen as an illusion from the drugs, and the usage of the cloud can be considered getting high and getting away from the present reality. Now when the Beetles, arguably the most influential band in rock and roll history, changed their style, others followed. As previously mentioned, The Jim Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, and other British bands followed suit with this movement, and thus a large- scale drug influx arrived in America. Another part of American culture that was drastically changed was the style of dress. Bluebottles, bare midriffs and long wavy hair was not the way of the previous generation. This also relates to the etiquette previously discussed, for they go hand in hand.In both cases the dress and conduct etiquette was very modest and rule oriented. If people would have acted and dressed the way they did from the asss on in the asss, they would have been considered totally out of line and out of control. All of this came from the British influx, for with their new music they brought new style and clothing. From this time on Britain has been at the forefront for the new waves Of fashion and design. The revolution brought on all kind Of change and it didnt follow any of the previous rules, it shattered them. There was so much change going on in the asss, it was a time of great turbulence from start to finish. Protests, assassinations, war, pacifists; they all played a major role in the United States during this time. Something substantial had to happen to help relieve some of the on going woes. It was the British music. Not once, but twice, within a span of ten years were the British the influence that helped get us over those times. It may have been in a more positive way in the first wave, and maybe in a more negative way in the second, introducing an entire drug culture, but either way it made an impact.I have always viewed the asss as one of the most intriguing decades to live in, because of its culture shock that occurred during this time. It was the decade of peace, love and drugs; it would have been great to be there to experience these things. Nevertheless, in the research I have done, I have realized the importance of not only the British music on this decade, but all of the feelings behind the music, all of the meanings and emotions and social change which it encouraged. It was the decade with the highest highs and the lowest lows in the last half-century. It was the time when British music saved America from itself.

I Believe In Jesus Christ Religion Essay Essay Example I Believe In Jesus Christ Religion Essay Essay I Believe In Jesus Christ Religion Essay Essay Ervin Drake, Irvin Graham, Jimmy Shirl and Al Stillman wrote this vocal in 1953 and Frankie Laine sang the most popular version of it. Jane Froman commissioned the vocal was commissioned for her early 1950s telecasting show, going the first hit vocal of all time introduced on telecasting. Troubled by the eruption of the Korean War in 1952 so shortly after World War II, Froman invited the four work forces to compose a vocal which would offer hope and religion to the people. Over the old ages the vocal written for Americans became a global success with Frankie Laine singing the most popular version.[ 1 ] Merely as Jane Froman who suffered chronic hurting and wore a leg brace for most of her life after lasting a plane clang in February, 1943 while she was touring ground forces cantonments in war torn Europe, commissioned this vocal to raise the liquors of people fearing the Korean War would go World War III, so did the Christian Church develop popular statements of religion to prolong its members in the face of unorthodoxy. Would nt He merely travel through the gestures of deceasing without really sing human hurting? The people who said this was the instance, non merely denied Jesus humanity, but besides denied His human birth to Mary, His female parent and denied His human decease and descent into snake pit. Christians had to believe carefully about such issues. They had to be even more careful about how they stated their beliefs: on one manus so they would clearly define God s disclosure and on another manus repulse all incorrect announcements and instructions. SLIDE FOUR To state I believe in God, the Father Almighty, The Maker of Eden and Earth was to aline Christian beliefs and divinity with Judaism from which Christianity had emerged. It was besides to put Christianity apart from Greek and Roman faiths and all other spiritual patterns and announcements by which fans worshipped many Gods. To state I believe in Jesus Christ, His lone Son, our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary was to put Christianity apart from Judaism and, in the 7th century, from Islam. Christians committedness and devotedness to Jesus Christ sets every Christian apart from everyone else in the universe, because Christians commit to and idolize merely God whom you know through Jesus Christ. The name Jesus comes from the Aramaic name Yeshua ( Joshua ) , from Hebrew Yah-shua, intending God saves which was a popular name of the clip.[ 2 ]The name points to Him being an historical individual and non a figment of person s wild imaginativeness. Jesus is frequently called Jesus Christ or Christ with Christ being the English term for the Greek Ià §I?I?I?Iââ¬Å¾I?Iââ¬Å¡ intending the anointed 1. It is a interlingual rendition of the Hebrew ?zOà ©Oâ⠢?-Oà · ( MA?A?iaa ) , normally transliterated into English as Messiah.[ 3 ]Use of this rubric grants Jesus a specific topographic point in History. When you declare that you believe in Jesus Christ your Lord, you are seeing Him in His function in relation to your personal religious demands. Merely through Jesus Christ can you trust to cognize God, so He overcomes your ignorance of God. Merely through Jesus Christ can you trust to be related with God, eliminating your alienation from God. Merely through Jesus Christ can you have the counsel and protection you need to populate as trusters who know God and are reconciled to Him. SLIDE FIVE When John wrote of such things, he called Jesus Christ the Word of God ( John 1.1-4 ) . He assumed that anyone who read his Gospel would hold at least a working cognition of the Old Testament and of Judaism within both of which the Messiah is referred to as the Word. John assumed that his readers would cognize that Jesus, as the Word, was active and powerful in Creation ( Genesis 1 ) , in rescue of God s people ( Isaiah 42.1-9 ; 49.1-7 ; 52.13-53.12 ) and opinion of people s behavior and belief ( Psalm 96.13 ) . SLIDE SIX Remarks such as those John made in the first few poetries of his Gospel ( John 1.1-4 ) underpinned the base the Church took against unorthodoxy. SLIDE SEVEN In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him and without Him non one thing came into being. What has come into being in Him was life and the life was the visible radiation of all people. ( John 1.1-4 NRSV ) When John started his Evangel with these words, he indicated his belief that Jesus was ageless, sharing infinity with God His Father, because In the beginning was the Word: i.e. , Jesus existed before the creative activity of the universe and the human race. John besides gave the Church a theological foundation upon which it could set up declarations such as The Apostles Creed. In the manner human existences step Time, Jesus was in the beginning with God and, because He rose from the dead defeating decease, He has no terminal. Yes! Jesus lived as a adult male within Time for about 33 old ages, but Time did non adhere Him. He was non like God, because He was God really, is God. Where God is, Jesus is. With these words John countered the dissident claim that God the Father and Jesus the Son were two distinguishable entities two distinguishable separate existences. SLIDE EIGHT John besides stated his belief that Jesus participated in the Creation of the universe and Mankind, because nil was made without Him being the Godhead: All things came into being through Him and without Him non one thing came into being ( John 1.3 ; Hebrews 1.10 ) . Besides, What has come into being in Him was life and the life was the visible radiation of all people ( John 1.4 ) . Jesus non merely participated in Creation, but besides in giving life to people. Jesus did non merely make, but besides continues to supply, so that life can travel on and on. SLIDE NINE Decision Although the Church published the first known visual aspect of The Apostles Creed about 710-714AD[ 4 ], Christians of most persuasions have used it repeatedly to confirm their religion and to give them a footing for farther theological thought. In today s western society in which Christianity is progressively marginalised and in which indifference and a deficiency of sympathy towards Christianity is distributing obliges all Christians to act openly as trusters and to declare their beliefs more boldly utilizing The Apostles Creed. You are encouraged to clear up your beliefs for yourself and others and underpin your Christian behavior. Developing Strategic Management and Leadership Skills Essay
Developing Strategic Management and Leadership Skills - Essay Example This project stresses that a leader will verify that the salaries are being paid in time; will pursue a system of rewards and bonuses; and, will listen to the employeesââ¬â¢ troubles and will try to remove them. This will keep them working at high competence. The leader will make agreements with business partners while respecting their decisions. This confidence between the partners makes the organization grow and maintains its integrity. A leader will know how to schedule his projects keeping in mind the time frame and instructs the team to manage their work schedules accordingly.à From the report it is clear that the goal of leadership is to make the new comers follow the way the leaders work and behave in the organization. The leaders should show such an attitude at the workplace that would inspire others to follow their directions. The ultimate goal of the leadership is to create such teams that work effectively to produce greater results. The most important thing is conside ration about internal and external communication. If leaders want that employees participate in a vigorous collaborative environment where they interrelate with each other in a better way to share their ideas and information, they would have to take steps to improve their communication with their workers, listen to their problems, talk to them and work out their issues. Workers will automatically start following them and the overall organizational culture will improve. This is the transformational leadership. Ethical and legal issues concerning at-will employment Research Paper
Ethical and legal issues concerning at-will employment - Research Paper Example Employers should be careful at every stage of the hiring process to avoid illegal discrimination of any applicant on grounds of color, gender, age, national origin, disability and religion. Applicants are aware that indication of bias in the hiring process may lead to severe legal repercussions. In contractual employment, the law considers the relationship between an employer and employee as being on equal ground in terms of bargaining power. The employment at will reflects the belief that people are free to enter into employment contracts of specified length of time, without obligations attached to either employee or employer. In this arrangement employees are able to resign from a position they no longer care about and employers are permitted to discharge employees at their pleasure. The law in general presumes one is employed at will unless they have proof indicating otherwise. Written documents detailing oneââ¬â¢s employment or oral statements from their employer are means of proof. For this reason, employers go to pains to point out, in applications, handbooks, job evaluations, handbooks, or other documents related to employment, that their employees work at will. It is important to be aware of the status of oneââ¬â¢s employment, whether it is at will or otherwise. Ethically, the employer could expressly indicate the terms in a written document that the applicant has the choice to sign. If no at-will agreement is signed, one can check the employee manual or any other written workplace policy document. If these documents state ; that one could be fired at any time, could be fired without cause or for any reason, even if the word at will is not expressly used then you are under an at-will policy. Professional ethics encourage the employer to have some written policies that call for good reason to fire. Such policies could provide an exclusive list of reasons for which employees can be fired or offer some job protections. Employees are entitled to rely on these kinds of policies if their employer has adopted them. Legally if the contract promises job security, then one is not an at will employee. This could be in form of a contract that clearly states that the employee is on a three-year contract and they could be fired in that time only for committing a crime. If in this event they are fired for any other reason not specified in their contract they may have legal claim for breach of contract. Employers often take this employment means as a measure of protecting their interests. With uncertain economic systems and means of sustenance companies feel the need to cushion themselves or have some weather room in the event of downsizing. In other instances, the employee may need an employee for particular tasks which may be for specific durations. In case the task is completed before the expiry of the contract the employee may feel the need to let go of the extra hands. It is unethical in the public for an employee to hire with the sole intention of covering their back. The result is that the new hires, will not be motivated or feel challenged in the work and may underperform. In a clear situation where the employee and employer both know the terms of the agreement, the law has little to do in case either party bailed out. Ethics encourage serving a notification

The Importance of Socio dramatic Play
The Importance of Socio dramatic Play Much of our understanding of the value of play has originated from Piaget (1962) and Vygotsky (1978), who focused on the role of play in childrens development. They saw children as active explorers of their world. With each new encounter or interaction, children were able to discover new meanings, and thus developed more complex understandings and skills. Play is therefore, an important part of the process of constructing knowledge. It enables children to control what happens and to use what they already know to further their understanding and development. Socio-dramatic play is one of the most important forms of play (Smilansky Shefatya, 1992). Play experiences support children to be active participants in developing and strengthening their character, finding their own voice in compromising with others or directing their play ideas. When engaging in pretend play, children use fantasy, make-believe, and symbolic behavior in representing one object as another (Kaugers Ross 2009). Pla y is a skill worth practicing and mastering not, as adults often seem to think of it, a mere time filler or something to do outside to blow off steam. Mastering play is as important as mastering oral or written language. All these modes of symbolic representation enable human beings to remember manage, plan, and communicate with each other (Reynolds Jones 1997). The term play is often used but loosely defined. For the purpose of this paper when speaking of play the kind of play that will be discussed will be socio-dramatic play (Smilanskiy 1968). This type of play, also called dramatic, imaginative, or pretend play, can occur with peers, adults, or both. Characteristics of socio-dramatic play include make-believe that involves roles, objects, and situations; and includes language and social interaction. The social aspect distinguishes socio-dramatic play from dramatic play because children can and do pretend during solitary play. Socio-dramatic play may also occur in combination with constructive play in early childhood classrooms. Much of what we currently know about sociodramatic play started with Vygotskys research. Vygotsky saw play as the leading behavior in childrens development. In Vygotskys theory, children play beyond their years (Bodrova Leong, 2005). The play has several elements to it. First, the play must include an imaginary element, second, involved children must have assigned role(s) with implicit rules, and finally, language must be involved. (Smilansky Shefatya, 1992). The Role of Teachers in Childrens Play Because children are the active participant they have autonomy over their play and this is one of the most empowering experiences a child can have (Canning, 2007). The adults in the childs world play an integral role. Children want support in practical difficulties, but also want to be seen as important and competent individuals (Pramling, Samuelsson, Johansson 2009). Children want to know when they are doing the right things and want to appear in a favorable light to their teachers and other adults by informing them when peers break rules. By this the children also confirm the teachers, in the sense that they are to be trusted, they know how things should be and they have power and knowledge to mediate. The role of the teacher in play is complex and can involve a directive, non-directive, and/or elaborative role. Howard, Jenvey, and Hill (2006) indicated that higher levels of teacher verbalization can reduce play behavior. Similarly, Tamburrini (1982) suggested that re-direction dev alued play as a learning activity whereas elaborative interaction facilitated play behavior. Play activities tend to occur more frequently between children rather than with teachers (Canning, 2007). Piagets clinical observations supported educators discoveries that children construct knowledge for themselves through spontaneous activity. Through the play experiences teachers provide; children acquire rules, imitate reality, and socialize with their peers (Piaget, 1962). So then in the early years for many teaching is based on observation. Teachers dont however just watch and sit idly by. They also make play possible. The play they make possible is rich, complex, and thoughtfully-planned. Socio-dramatic play provides an excellent context for children to develop and practice many important skills and behaviors that contribute to later success in school and life. As play matures, there is a progressive transition from reactive to and impulsive behaviors to behaviors that are more delib erate and thoughtful (Bodrova Leong, 2005). Teachers need to know how to observe play, helping children grow into master players. Like every stage of development, play does not occur automatically, it needs nurturing from a capable adult. Children must learn how to engage in satisfying socio-dramatic play and teachers must take responsibility for setting up their environment and assisting the play by taking on the role of observer, stage-manager, and co- player (Bredekamp 2005). Within research, play has been analyzed in numerous studies. The purpose of this study will be to examine the role of the teachers involvement during play. Specifically can a teacher or another trained adult improve socio-dramatic play to improve other cognitive and socio-emotional abilities? In order to examine this, the following questions need to be explored: What is the level of socio-dramatic play in the classroom? How is the teacher involved? What obstacles hinder progress? Method Participants and Setting Dependent Variable Independent Variable Experimental Design and Procedures
